Mission Statement:
We focus on proper fundamentals of football and player safety.
To build resiliency in our youth by teaching the proper fundamental skills while maintaining the safety of the game.
To strengthen the value of sportsman like conduct regardless of race, sex, creed, disability or National origin is vital to building personal responsibility for a stronger community.
Encourage our youth, in order to make informed decisions, so they too can become leaders in the future.
Being good role models and mentoring our youth will assist them to strive for their dreams and aspirations for the future.
To provide a safe and positive after school program for all youth in Onslow County.
Other important goals of the program include team building, physical conditioning, enjoyment of the game and just having fun.

The Jacksonville Youth Football League not only focuses on the fundamental of football as a sport but overall proper safety of the game and player themselves. We strive for our players to take pride in their academics and how they interact at home. Humility, appreciation, responsibility and understanding that a player has to have good sportsman like conduct on and off the field. We want the players to understand that their performance in school is as important as their grades. We understand that all our players come from different backgrounds and varied skill levels. Some players just need to be positively encouraged for them to bloom and reach their full potential. Others just need a chance to show their skills and help others as a team. We as an association are not comprised of a cookie cutter mentality. Personal responsibility and grades are top priority over sports. No participant will play if they cannot maintain an overall good sportsman like conduct. It’s simple “Overall sportsman like conduct on/off the field and during school – up keeping grades First, Sports Second". A failing grade means a participant become academically ineligible and will not play until grades are back up. Please note that the players are expected to show up and cheer for their team members.
